THE DOGGY OSCARS ARE COMING TO TORONTO
THE PUPS ARE READY TO WALK THE RED CARPET DECEMBER 12TH
The city’s favorite dog walking company, Toronto Dog Walking, is barking mad for the Grand Finale for the second annual search for Toronto’s Top Dog. After 100’s of dogs entered to become Toronto’s Top Dogs, the top 28 have been chosen! What have the top 28 pups got in common? They are all proud Torontoians, who love the pawmazing city of Toronto!
We are just over a week away from announcing who will be the Toronto’s Top Dog! All of the finalists are invited to attend what can only be described as the Doggy Oscars. All of the top dogs will walk the red carpet and pose for the pawparazity upon arrival just like the Hollywood stars. The finalists will then be treated to a 5 star dinner during the award ceremony where each category winner will be announced and then each pup will go head to head to find out who will become the city’s top pooch and be crowned Toronto’s Top Dog!
Each pup entered into one of seven categories, according to their size and age. It is the sole responsibility of Toronto’s doggy adoring public to cast their votes to help decide who will be crowned Toronto’s Top Dog 2017. Voting is currently open right up until the winners will be announced LIVE on December 12th at Tom & Sawyer.
We needed the help of four pawsome judges to decide who the Top 28 pooches would be based their votes on why their pup loves the city of Toronto and what it means to them, their cuteness factor and the originality of the uploaded photo.
The judging panel comprises:
o Chris Floyd, Tom & Sawyer
o Elizabeth Lima, Pawfectly Prepared Gourmet Pet Food
o Suzana Curcija, Forcefree Dog Training Behaviour Expert
o Tricia Treherne, Jasper Swag
Toronto’s TOP DOG will win a variety of prizes including a Pet Sitting & Dog Walking voucher, a professional photoshoot, a superb doggy bag and much more valued at over $750.
Owner of the city’s premier dog walking company, Toronto Dog Walking, Pam Curry said the number of entries was overwhelming but not surprising.
“The city of Toronto is home to some of the worlds best dogs – funny, fluffy, skinny, scruffy… it takes all types and while we love them all, it’s time for the people of Toronto to decide on who will be Toronto’s Top Dog! It has been an awesome experience getting to know all the pups involved and I am happy that I’m not allowed to vote or have any say in who takes the title! You can vote once a day at TorontoTopDog.com to make sure the pawfect pup takes their crown” Ms Curry said.
