TORONTO (August 8, 2016) Dog owners in Toronto are getting an opportunity to showcase their dogs in an upcoming Top Dog contest to be hosted by Toronto Dog Walking.
Entries for the contest will open from August 8 to August 24 and owners are required to submit a picture of their dog along with a story. The competition will feature several categories from the tiny dogs weighing up to 11lbs to extra large dogs that are 89 lbs or more. There are even categories for senior dogs that are over 10 years old and puppies younger than 12 months.
Toronto Dog Walking is one of the premier dog walking companies in the city. Organizer of the competition and founder of Toronto Dog Walking, Pam Curry said: “Every dog has a story to share, be it in front of the camera or behind! We are looking to find Toronto’s Top Dog with the help of their owners. It’s a really fun process in getting to know the awesome dogs that live in the city.”
Fifty percent of the judging (by panel) will be based on the dogs’ stories, cuteness, the quality and originality of the photograph submitted. The public will account for the remaining fifty percent. The top four dogs will be chosen from each category and will be announced on September 22.
The finalists will attend a lunch September 25th for the official launch of the finale and have their photograph professionally taken for use in the finale to crown Toronto’s Top Dog. They will move on to the final round of the competition which will take place between October 1st and October 23rd.
A number of prizes will be awarded to the top dogs for each category and runners ups including Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Vouchers, Photo shoots and more.
