What a barktastic contest Toronto’s Top Dog has been. So much fun and fluff with all the contestants. It has been a pawslure getting to know each of the furry contestants. The finalists attended a pawsome finalist lunch where they were served a delicious lunch provided by Pawfectly Prepared Gourment Dog Food and had a mini professional shoot for their finale cover picture. Some even attended our live finale launch on CTV News at Noon hosted by Pawsway. The pups had a pawmazing experience walking the red carpet and having their moment to shine in the spotlight!
After thousands of paws voted for their favorite pooch to be crowned Toronto’s Top Dog the TOP DOG has been chosen!!!
Ladies & Gentlemen presenting you with Toronto’s Top Dog for 2016 from the tiny dog category….
Hi, my name is Winston. When I was just a young seven weeks old, mom and dad rescued me from a place where I was neglected and not treated very well. In my new home I had plenty of food, water, a cozy bed and so much love it was like a dream come true!
I had a rough first year, spending a lot of time at vet offices and in animal hospitals being diagnosed with food allergies, a collapsed trachea and some other minor issues. I’ve remained very energetic and pawsitive throughout because I’ve had unconditional love and support every step of the way!
Since I was one of the lucky ones to be saved from such a rough start in life, I wanted to be able to lend a helping paw to all fur babies and humans in need of love and care. With the help of mom, I have become an entrepreneur and philanthropist designing and selling fur baby apparel and accessories. One of the ways I chose to help was to donate a portion of the proceeds from one of my lines to Animal Rescue and the Canadian Mental Health Association. You can find more details in my Instagram Bio where I am known as Mighty Morkie. Some of my hobbies that keep me feeling furtastic are sniffing out social media including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. I’m also into dog modelling, meeting new people and spending time with my family and furfriends. I also train hard to learn new tricks such as high five, marching on my back paws, dancing, giving hugs and much more. The latest I’m practicing is learning how to skateboard! I’m almost there!!!
Although I feel mom and dad rescued me, they tell me daily how I really rescued them!
